"Countdown" to UFC 178 lit up the airwaves on Sunday night via FOX Sports 1 to help promote the upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event scheduled for this Sat. night (Sept. 27, 2014) inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It's not "Jones vs. Cormier," but you can blame "The Reem" for that.

In their place, Demetrious Johnson and Chris Cariaso will slug it out in the five-round championship main event for "Mighty Mouse's" flyweight belt. Check out an in-depth preview of their 125-pound showdown in the video player below.
